This rhyme is also known as a riddle because it encourages children to use logic concepts and deductive skills to find out how many people were going to St. Ives. In addition to the song, its rhymes and the riddle itself, in this appbook there is a fun activity with a band of women playing the theme song and a quiz that draws the reader's attention to the objects and characters that show up in the narrative.
