Every Chinese almanac app gives you star ratings for the day. The problem? Check two apps and they disagree. That's not a bug in those apps. It's a flaw in the whole approach. The classical source text — the 1739 imperial Xieji Bianfang Shu, compiled for imperial use — says the same thing: generic day ratings are unreliable.
